Nature, sports and adventure are the best medicine!

On 5-8 July 2024, we organized a kayak and rafting trip on the Poprad River for 13 Ukrainian refugees living in the Tatra region and once again we realized how important it is for these people to get away from the disturbing news, to be in nature, to have an adventure!

Thank you to all our supporters: Miloš Veverka, Eva Berkova Dusan Pamula, Svein Olav Krogli, Lang Alois und Maria, Kvetoslava Hovoricova, Sona Madarasova, Edo Demenčik, Galvanek Dobromil, Jan Topercer and two unknown donors who contributed via Donio. In total we received donations of 505 Eur, we spent 810 Eur: registration fee for 7 people (accommodation, transfer of equipment and meals for 4 days) – 590 Eur, transport – 70 Eur, food – 150 Eur

We are very grateful to Farm Spišská Teplica for providing us with high quality dairy and meat products at a good price and to Alexander Kashel for providing free kayaks and instructor support!

You have helped the refugees to feel and be happy and encourage a cheerful mind and spirit

Our team, consisting of  two instructors of water and mountain tourism, is ready to organize rehabilitation activities in the summer that will certainly lift the spirits of both adults and children and, at least for a while, make them happy. Nature, sports and adventure are the best medicine!

In a situation where the new government of Slovakia has completely cut off support for NGOs helping refugees, we are forced to look for other sources for funds for this work.
