Training: Environmental Education – Discovering the Carpathians Together

The training will take place outdoors near the Machaon Art Residence in Gánovce with the following objectives:
- Enhance mutual understanding and connection among team members of the “Green Treasures of the Carpathians” project.
- Strengthen the application of fundamental principles of experiential education for children and youth.
- Provide practical demonstrations of games and the application of nature pedagogy methodologies.
- Facilitate the exchange of experiences between participants from Slovakia and Ukraine.
Programme
June 13, 2025
- 16:00 – 18:15: Transfer from Veľké Slemence to Gánovce (183 km).
- 18:45 – 21:30: Friendly dinner by the campfire, grilling, music.
June 14, 2025
- 09:00 – 10:00: Introduction and participant meet-and-greet.
- 10:00 – 11:00: Theoretical session: Basics of experiential environmental education; group interactions and activities.
- 11:00 – 11:50: Outdoor activities from a psychological perspective and discussion.
- 11:50 – 12:50: Presentation by the Ukrainian partner – experiences with environmental education in the Zakarpattia region.
- 12:50 – 13:00: Assignment for the practical part.
- 13:00 – 14:00: Shared lunch.
- 14:00 – 16:00: Practical session (preparation, group experiential activities in nature).
- 16:00 – 16:40: Reflection and discussion – communication about the experience.
- 16:40 – 17:00: Training conclusions and discussion.
- 17:00 onwards: Dinner, informal participant discussions.
- 18:00: Departure of Ukrainian participants to the bus station (18:30 bus to Uzhhorod).
In case of adverse weather, the training will be held indoors.
