Olexander Kashel
(Mountain guide )
Olexander is the most experienced member of our projectʹs team when talking about safe movement in nature. He has 37 years of experience in mountaineering in all possible climate zones, seasons and altitudes up to 7000 meters ASL. Among his achievements we can mention a silver medal from the Ukrainian Mountaineering Championships in Technical, Winter and High-Altitude classes. In recent years, Olexander has been successfully working as a head of training camps for up to 130 people aimed at mountaineering and other alpine events. He also contributes to management of the Training Centre and the Association of Mountain Guides of Ukraine and he is a certified instructor-methodologist in mountaineering, too.
Olexander is a very kind, inspirational and respected leader, especially for children. In 2023-2024, we organised more than 10 climbing and kayaking programmes for children-refugees “Nature as a healing”. When our team is on a way to the wild, Olexander always thinks twice for everything needed. Taking the proper equipment for every member of the group and everything to stay safe and happy is his good standard. As a skilled Mountain Guide, he knows what to do in any possible risky or problematic situation. We all feel super safe with him and your kids will love him!
We are very glad to have Olexander in our team of also due to his extensive experience in events coordination. He has been working as the Coordinator of events of the National Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing of Ukraine in several mountainous areas for the past 15 years.
Olexander has also rich experience in the organisation of kayaking courses and camps. He leaded the rafting tours (including rivers in category 5) on the rivers of the Black, Baltic, North, Mediterranean, Chukchi and Bering basins.
